Featured Job Opportunity: Accounting Manager

Summary of Position

The Accounting Manager manages the General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff performing these functions with effective policies/procedures and internal controls. Supporting month-end closing and reporting processes with the Americas Finance Team.

Essential Functions

  • Supervision of General Ledger staff
  • Supervision of Accounts Receivable staff
  • Supervision of Accounts Payable staff
  • Lead month-end closing processes to ensure deadlines are met
  • Preparation and posting of journal entries to the general ledger
  • Assure accurate posting of journal entries into the ERP system
  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Responsible for providing requested information for the Budget
  • Prepare reports and advanced spreadsheets as requested

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required, MBA or CPA preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in staff supervision
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting
  • Knowledge of accounting systems
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint software applications. Ability to leverage technology to gain efficiencies
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading and effective follow-up skills
