Skoda Minotti announces the acquisition of Beachwood, Ohio-based accounting firm, Howard L. Klein Co., CPA.
The acquisition joins Howard Klein, an expert-in-the-field with 34 years’ experience in forensic and bankruptcy accounting, with the firm’s Valuation and Litigation Advisory Group, where he will serve as partner.
Klein has investigated white-collar crimes and testified as an expert witness in numerous civil and criminal matters. He has worked with the FBI, SEC, FDIC, SIPC and the Department of Labor. Klein is currently the forensic accountant for the trustee for Fair Finance, a $200 million Ponzi scam, and served as a fee examiner in the Enron bankruptcy case. Prior to owning his own firm, he was an auditor with Ernst & Ernst and a partner with a local CPA firm.
“Howard’s expertise in forensic accounting and depth of experience with high-profile cases will strengthen our capabilities and allow us to continue to meet the growing needs of our clients,” said Gregory J. Skoda, CPA, chairman of the firm.
Klein is a CPA, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA). He received his Master’s degree in Accounting from The Ohio State University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Miami University.
