Skoda Minotti Hires Scott Swain as Tax Partner

Scott SwainSkoda Minotti, a national CPA, financial and business advisory firm headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, is pleased to announce the addition of Scott J. Swain, CPA, CFA, CFP® to its Tax Planning & Preparation group. Swain will serve as partner and work with individual clients, flow-through entities, LLCs, partnerships and S Corps. In addition, he will assist clients of Skoda Minotti Financial Services and Aurum Wealth Management.

Swain has more than 20 years of experience working in the financial services industry, including over 11 years focused on planning for high-net-worth individuals. He specializes in income and estate tax planning for individuals and has a wealth of practical experience working with trusts, family partnerships and other entities from an estate planning perspective.

Swain joins Skoda Minotti from a local advisory firm where he was a senior managing director involved with tax planning, estate and gift planning, trusts and high-net-worth family investment portfolios.

“Scott’s experience and expertise in income and estate tax planning will serve to strengthen our tax services,” said Gregory J. Skoda, CPA, chairman of the firm. “His broad scope of knowledge will be a major value-add to our clients.”

Swain earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance, from Miami University. He earned his Master of Taxation from The University of Akron. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and CFA Society of Cleveland.
