Tom Cseplo founded Troy Innovative Instruments, Inc. in 1992 to cater to the needs of the orthopedic contract manufacturing community. Based in Middlefield, Ohio, the company provides implants and contract precision machining and assembly needed for orthopedic surgeries. Troy Innovative was at the forefront of many early spine systems and evolved with the industry, expanding its scope and breadth of operation. Today, the company manufactures thousands of highly engineered implants and instruments used throughout the U.S.
After experiencing a number of organizational changes, Troy Innovative wanted to build a stronger infrastructure while continuing to support the growth goals of the company and its customers. The company also wanted to expand into foreign markets.
Skoda Minotti began working with Troy Innovative in 2017 as a strategic business advisor. Our goal was to provide continuity throughout Troy’s organizational changes, while helping the company remain on track with its growth goals.
In addition to contracting for tax and accounting services, Troy Innovative also engaged our business advisors, including Professional Staffing, Outsourced Accounting Solutions and Aurum Wealth Management Groups.
Skoda Minotti’s Professional Staffing Group filled key positions on Troy Innovative’s leadership team and helped manage the transition. The firm’s Outsourced Accounting Services Group served as Troy’s outsourced CFO on an interim basis. Additionally, Aurum Wealth Management, a Skoda Minotti company, was engaged to build out financial plans with Troy’s owners.
